Funny Wedding Poem

Today’s featured poem is a funny wedding poem. It was requested by my mom, who will be attending her friend’s daughter’s wedding next weekend.
I know that most wedding poems are sentimental in nature. But this one is meant to be funny, and that’s one of the main reasons I had so much fun writing it.
Coffee with Cream
Today is the day,
your freedom is for sale,
Don’t argue with her,
she’ll always prevail.
There’s no need to stress,
about the toilet seat,
If you want something done,
just tease him with meat.
You’re probably thinking,
where are the wishes?
The question is –
who’ll do the dishes?
The beautiful sound,
of wedding bells,
She has control,
beware of her spells.
Marriage requires,
unselfishly serve,
Time for each other,
you gotta reserve.
Enjoy your exciting,
honeymoon,
In time you’ll master,
the art of the spoon.
You both make,
a very cool team.
You go together,
like coffee with cream.

Did you think it was funny? Can you see yourself sharing it inside your next wedding greeting card?
I’m going to email it to my mom, and I hope she likes it. I can see her greeting card standing out from the rest because of it.
I remember reading our wedding cards several years ago, the day after our wedding. Most of them were very nice, but similar at the same time. The ones that did stand out or were a bit more memorable were the ones that had a little bit more written inside.
One of Anita’s cousins included a very cute wedding poem inside her card. She personalized it for us, and we both loved it.
That’s the goal behind this poem. So feel free to share it with the bride and groom on their wedding day.
Hope it helps your wedding card stand out.
